I think you misunderstand - I don't feel entitled to anything.
As far as riding a high horse, I do have the legal right to have accurate information reported about me in terms of credit, we all do. The law says that.
Amex hasn't reported any delinquency, nor did they close my accounts or suspend them - I did. Had I truly been delinquent, I t hink we all know they would have suspended charging at the very least.
I did try contacting them to solve it, multiple times. It was a fruitless exercise.
And if they do put inaccurate information in my credit reports I will dispute and follow any legal process I can under the law to remedy things. They have an obligation to report accurate information. That isn't asking much you wouldn't think, but if you feel that makes me "entitled" I guess I can live with you feeling that way.
My head is clear. I regret closing the accounts only due to taking a hit on my score to be honest, I do not regret losing what Amex has become. Kind of sad to see a once great company as it is today, at least for me. The truth is, when I got back with them I was ecstatic, I thought they were the old Amex. I found that in reality, it wasn't what I thought it would be. They still do some things very well, and have a lot of good things, but they truly aren't what they were once. That to me is kind of sad really. But it is what it is.
