If you've been a member since 95 it means that by now you should be at least 35 yrs old assuming you got your card when you were 18... I think that most of amex current members are in their late 30's or 40's so they want to align their marketing strategy to their consumer base. That's the same reason why the Zync card shows member since '10, back in '95 I'm sure most current Zync members where learning basic math in elementary school
Amex: Business Platinum (09/12) BCP $10,500 (03/13)
Visa: Capital One Journey $750 (04/11) Chase Freedom $1,800 (04/12)
MasterCard Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select $8,500 (05/13)
Discover: Discover It $2500 (07/11)
Store Cards: Amazon $3900 (12/11) Macy's $500 (04/11) Kohl's $500 (05/12) Victoria's Secret $750 (11/12)

I'm going to say it's a computer thing. when they started doing applications only on the computer, they put there site on the internet. Americanexpress.com launched in 1995 and that's why it says member since 1995.
