I have to agree, I don't think the card would be worth that fee...but I did a little research and found nothing mentioned for the US.
Cards in my wallet:
-Citi Forward Card for College Students-July 2011
-American Express Platinum Delta Skymiles--July 2013

So I will wait and see.....

if that's the case shouldn't the increase be on the centurion side? i wouldn't mind a price hike in the US. this is assuming that the benefits are worth the monetary value.

curious to see how the centurion will differ...

Well for starters, I think the Starwood benefit will go from gold to platinum which is good as I like that chain.

I think the air travel section will get a boost as well. Not sure what or how but if I had to guess, I think they will provide us Cent holders with a bit more flexibility on the usage of the 2 for 1 promotions for air tickets.

Our insurance coverage is already better than the Plats in that we get the first 31 days of travel insurance coverage versus the 15 days plat offers.

Maybe they will give us lounge access privilages for Greyhound bus rides??!! LOLOLOL

Not pretentious at all I disagree!! It all depends on the pitch. That is what makes the card pretentious.

Put the card down on the table without any fanfare and it's no big deal.

Scream "charge it on the card baby" each time while flashing it like a police badge so those around you takes note... well that's pretentious!!
