Did anyone receive an email with details after going through a situation like this or similar?
Also, will my welcome packet include what my credit score was? My citi card did when it came last year...was suprised I had a 715 score with zero credit of any kind!

Not to keep posting in my own thread however, I was approved at 5:00 last night (Sunday) so is there a chance my card will arrive this week instead of the 7-10 biz days? They said for security reasons all new accounts must be mailed via USPS and future cards will be overnighted.

From my experience, it probably won't get to you this week. If it's approved on a weekend, they will probably make the card/package it on Monday, and send it out Monday afternoon (earliest). Then the post office has to sort the mail, so it might not leave the post office until Tuesday. UNLESS they ship via UPS, then everything should be faster.

In my experience, the first card from Amex seems to arrive fast and ones after that later forever. But my first card with Amex recently was plat. My wife got get first Amex quick and 2nd one slow too. It's a crapshoot in my opinion. As for credit score, if you didn't get best terms, which you probably didn't, you will get a fairly dry and long letter with your fico in it. Letter says something about not getting best terms and then the fico score is buried in there somewhere.

I guess it comes when it comes then. Too bad there isn't a way to see what your credit limit is. They didn't say how they were shipping it either. When I got my cli on my college card I had such a good score that my apr got dropped to the best available rate of 11% I think they said it was 750. Granted, my score will go down for this inquiry. But I think the Inquiry for the clear card should go off next month.

Call them up. I have heard of them applying stuff after the fact. Also heard of them telling you to take a hike. Might want to call executive office of Amex.

Don't want to be told to take a hike. My parents got this offer last week..(been amex users and plat holders since 2000)...wonder if this could be why? Whats the # and the difference between exec office and a csr?
