Amex has no mercy for drugged guy's charges

Postby DavidNY » Mon Jun 04, 2012 8:56 pm

A guy gets roofied and robbed in Miami, his Amex is charged $43,712.25 by the conspirators and Amex says the guy has to pay anyway.

It doesn't seem Amex is standing up for the consumer here.

You know, this guy saw a couple of hot smooth chicks who rolled him, and what does he do? He goes back for seconds. Once, ok maybe I can see that, being male but TWICE??????

As the saying goes, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

The second night was not a wise move. Maybe he was still buzzed from the previous night but didn't realize it.

No sympathy. Guard yourself and your possessions.

Drugged not just once, but twice?

He is an idiot. Period.

If you plan to party like that, protect yourself. He didn't show to Amex he tried to protect his possession which you are obligated to do.

Besides, partying alone like that spells trouble.

Let's see...

~$25,000 for a painting at a "Russian charity auction"
~$10,000 on 5 bottles of champagne at a "private club"
~$8,000 on caviar for the whole table at the "private club"

Cost of goods sold: maybe $4000 lol

And they of course have security video showing the happy customer was in fact there making the charges himself.
