Since I'll have a gold delta amex soon, hopefully by the time I decide to get a charge card with them I won't have this issue lol. I think the most I've charged in a year is 5k but I'm also not out of college yet.
Cards in my wallet:
-Citi Forward Card for College Students-July 2011
-American Express Platinum Delta Skymiles--July 2013

Depending on where you go to school put your tuition on it. It'll especially help cross your MQM thresholds.

putting college tuition on the card may not be the smartest thing... my university charges a 3% premium for using a card

Mine doesn't. Which amex do you have, amexguy321? Plus, if it's a charge card you'll have to pay anyway.

i quote this from my university website:

"You will be charged a 2.5% convenience fee for utilizing this service"

so for me it is not the smartest idea to pay with with any card

i have the zync and hilton on my own terms and secondary centurion

very nice! My parents usually pay my bill with their Amex (luckily) there is no charges applied for that. I can't wait to rack up my own miles instead of using other peoples.

That's why I said "depending on where you go". My university doesn't charge a fee :)
