I looked at the website and I also could not locate an additional fee for additional cards. I even opened up the application and reviewed the Schumer Box (fees/costs in terms and conditions) and there was nothing spelled out about an additional card fee.

Conversely, right on the Platinum Card's page it clearly states that the annual fee is $450 and additional cards are $175 per year.

Zync and Premier Rewards Gold also do not indicate an additional card fee. The Green Card; however, indicates that the first year is free, after that $95 a year and for up to 5 additional cards $30 a year. I don't understand why the Zync and Gold Cards would offer additional cards fee free but the Green Card and Platinum wouldn't.

If you were interested in applying for the Gold Card and wanted to add additional cardholders, I would print the Schumer Box (terms and conditions) along with the Gold Card's page so that if they do charge an addtional card fee, you will have a solid argument that there was no indication that a fee would be assessed.

i was confused too.. coz right now i haave the green charge card and i added my husband into my account so we're paying the 95 and the 30 for additional... i was thinking if i upgrade to gold, and on the website it doesnt say any fee for additional then might as well just upgrade to gold coz we're paying the same amount. plus the gold has more benefits...

CC it clearly states it if you were looking in the right place. just click onto the gold card logo or click onto where it says apply, click onto where it says information on additional cards it has all of the information including the annual fee .

I'll chime in for the Zync users- it's $15.00 per additional card.
Currently: American Express Blue Sky, American Express Zync, Chase Freedom Visa, Capital One Newcomers--->converted to Capital One Quicksilver Mastercard NO AF

I guess it all depends on how many benefits each card level provides AND how much the fees are for the primary card. If Amex is not making enough on it's primary fees and the card offers many benefits, then they will have to charge.

For example, as a Centurion card holder, I get 5 cards for free. 1 black subsidiary card, 4 more any colour I want (Plat, gold, green, etc)

I don't think I like your tone. I looked at the website:

"Introductory Annual Fee: $0
Your first year of Cardmembership is on us. After that, the annual fee is $125."

I see that there is an annual fee for the account; that was never in dispute. But there is no verbiage regarding an additional card fee for additional cards on the account. Meanwhile the Platinum and Green do spell it out clearly on their respected pages that there are fees for additional cards.

This is unusual because for as long as I can remember, they have ALWAYS had fees for additional charge cards.

So to the OP, I would expect that there are additional fees for Gold but for whatever reason, Amex is not listing them for Zync, Gold and Premier Rewards Gold pages.

That is kind of interesting actually. I would have thought they would try to charge extra even at Centurian level. I wonder if that is for Canada only? I know that in the past, Platinum offered the cardholder to have either a Platinum or Gold card for their additional cardholders.
