Got my first free Centurion event today...

Postby FastSRT8 » Tue May 01, 2012 11:40 pm

It's a driving event on a closed race track from Jaguar.

They will let you hot lap one of their 550 hp cars and also let you take one of their utility vehicles off road on a prepared track.

Hey, any chance to hot lap someone else's ride on a track is good! hahah

Yes, it's free. I just have to get to the track. I did this with my own vehicle and paid $500 to use the same track. This is a cut and paste of the email I got...

I assume the Jaguar is the XKR-S. Wonder if the Land Rover is the soon to be released Range Rover. Let me know if it is new Range Rover as I know they are releasing almost completely resigned Range Rover this year.

Jealous. Get me a Centurion ASAP. Speaking of which, if you don't have an AmEx platinum, is it still possible to be invited to Centurion?

cool. take pics! :D

but no lunch included? I kid, I kid. At that level I would EXPECT to see some catering, the kind of thing one doesn't even NEED to mention.

After all they do mention airfare so it seems that they expect some people to actually fly in for this type of thing.

I'm sure they have basic catering. BUT then.... there is a risk of someone puking in their ride!

Everyone should be required to hop on a rollercoaster ride before driving the car, so if they puke they'll puke after the rollercoaster and not the car ride :D

I'm just curious how the stock Jag compares to my 700 bhp SRT8. I have taken mine already on a private track rental day so the comparison would be good.

Nope. You must be an AmEx Platinum member for 5 years with excessive luxury spending to qualify. Furnishing/building a second home on your platinum card will usually do it.
