do you rember what your annual fee was? unless you had an optima at that time did you use your card for personal use or business?
if business did you have your bill sent to your home or office?

your Corporate card was a different card, but have you thought of asking them if they can back date your card to what your original date
was on your personal card?

You crack me up. I remember in 1998 I went to a shopping mall in Denver (Cherry Creek Shopping Center) and they had kiosks with American Express applications. The kiosk had a sign that read, "Cherry Creek Prefers American Express." I picked up a Green, Gold and Optima application whilst there. I didn't apply, but for some reason I wanted the brochures. Cherry Creek is a high end mall, at one time it had Colorado's only Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Lord & Taylor. It is almost as if Amex chose the mall because they were upscale the way Amex used to be. I've never seen this type of kiosk again.

at my local mall the Nanuet mall American Express stopped by the end of the years from the mid 90's to the end of the 90's in
December. I applied for the Gold optima, didn't get it.

It was just a round kiosk with nobody present. They had pamphlets for all the available accounts at the time. I only remember Green, Gold and Optima.

Mine was 1991 and it was an application from somewhere on campus. I believe the Green AF was $65 (it's only $95 today, not bad)
