I think we will see the spending requirements on the business Centurion cards increased significantly sooner rather than later.
Disclosure: I am a moderator/paid staff of this site, which does have advertising relationships with some credit cards that are discussed and linked to. Regardless, anything I say is my honest opinion.

Current Cards:
American Express: Blue Cash, Simply Cash Bank of America: WorldPoints Platinum Plus Chase: Amazon, British Airways, Cash Plus Rewards, Freedom, Ink Cash Citi: Thank You Premier, Dividend Platinum Select Discover: More
Primary Everyday Card: American Express Blue Cash
Primary Travel Card: Chase Sapphire Preferred

It's not really that strange if you consider that this card is meant for the serious road warrior. The people who have this card probably spend 90% of their lives traveling and aren't just driving around locally. The card is also not often used in your hometown. It is being used to book your plane tickets, hotel reservations, resort bookings, boat charters, automobile purchases, and anything else you can think of. It isn't a grocery, gas, electronics card. That is the sort of thing any credit card can do for you. The Black Card is more of a niche market.

What are you basing this information on? History only shows a relaxing of the requirements.
