If the dealer accepts American Express then yes. Just plan on signing away your rights to conduct a charge back.

Limits have nothing to do with the type of charge card you have as long as your are NPSL. A green can have more limit than platinum or gold or centurion. It has to do with whatever AMEX has determined your ability to pay is.

That no preset spending limit is different for each card and each member. Call them up nd ask them what your green spending power is and then ask if it differs from card to card.

In fact, if you owe a balance, you can even send them a prepayment for more than your balance which will give you additional spending ability. Do it a couple of months and you should see that spending limit skyrocket.

Would this only work with charge cards, or other Amex cards as well?

Main Card: Amex Platinum
For gas: Penfed Platinum Cash Rewards
For travel & dining: Chase Sapphire Preferred

You can multitime pay with all cards. But you will not see your limits increase as fast or as often with credit cards. They have set limit and procedure to increase it. With the charge cards, you can juice your limit up. It only took 2 months of billing to get me approval limits from 3k to 70k. Love to see any credit cards Amex or otherwise do anything close using the multitime pay method.

I've had an Amex Gold PR, and it was initially set around $1,500. I charged $1,500-2,000 every month, and after 6 months it's at roughly $10,000 last I checked, which seems ridiculous, but whatever. I recently got a Blue Cash Preferred, and it's CL was oddly set at $2,000.

on the subject of making multiple payments a month, which I currently like to do every week with my citi card, can you do this with american express credit cards?

You can pay whenever you have any balance. Is that what you mean or do you mean auto pay every week? Nice thing about the charge card is don't have to worry about utilization and pay it down frequently.

Thats great. With Citi, for my account at least, there is a max of four online payments a month. I pay my balance every week, was curious If I could do the same with amex. I wish you could do more than 4 payments amonth. I did the check on the website and although I could apply for the gold mr, I think that the delta card actually suites me better right now...maybe in the future!
