That is good to know. I think I've narrowed it down to either amex gold or delta amex. I read your review on the card, and have read on the delta website about it. I have a question about the reward though---that is, for every year you renew the card, do you get a free flight + $99 priced companion ticket or a $99 companion ticket when you book your next flight or is it just a free flight? That may sound dumb but I've heard conflicting things from friends who have the card.

You enter some personal info and they will do a soft inquiry to see if you are pre approved for anything. They generally push Blue cards and the Charge cards more with this feature, but if you qualify for any Blue card you are good for the Gold Delta Skymiles.

It is true that the charge cards are easier to be approved for. But if you really want the Delta SkyMiles why not go for that one.

So I did this and it says they invite me to apply for: (1) AMEX GOLD PR, (2) gold delta card (3) mercedes benz card (4) blue cash preferred (annual fee version..)

I was applying when the following occured: it said I was invited to apply for the skymiles card so i was applying but the offer was earn 20,000 after first purchase--didnt have a minimum posted. Is this offer based on the soft pull they did or am I ok to apply through this website for the 30,000 miles after 500$ purchase?

The offer from the gold delta skymiles was 25000 points (no minimum listed) and from the premier rewards gold card was 10,000 points sign up offer. Why is it different than whats listed when you click on the gold delta skymiles card from the AMEX homepage (and on this website.)?
