According to the card agreements here

https://www.ibsnetaccess.com/NASApp/NetAccess/SearchCCAgreement

the only Amex offered is an Amex preferred.

My card is identified as a "Fidelity Investments American Express Card"

I haven't seen the word "preferred" attached to it.

Anytime you call them up they will say, "ok you're calling about your American Express preferred, thank you for being a valued customer since 2012" They NEVER call your card by it's name, Fidelity Investment Rewards, they just say American Express Preferred, which is a little confusing because I have two Amex with FIA/Boa

My Amex says "member since 12", but I've had my BofA/FIA account for a long time. I wonder if I can backdate the new Fidelity accounts to my first FIA account.

What I think he/she means is blue cash preferred, meaning they get 6% back on grocery stores, 3% back at gas stations and department stores while the basic blue the blue cash basic gets less 3, 2 and 2.
