Priority Club Visa Signature

Postby UPS Gregg » Mon Feb 20, 2012 7:45 pm

I'm still looking for a Visa card (originally to supplement my Amex but now probably as a replacement). I stumbled across Chase's Priority Club card and it seems appealing. Especially considering that we stay at Holiday Inns at least twice a year. Anyone have experience with it?

Moderators....feel free to move this to the Visa threads. My mistake. :)

I don't have this card but Chase is very competitive with rewards now and my assumption is that they are targeting prospective American express member. If you are staying at a participating Priority Club hotel, i strongly recommend you apply and consolidate your points to one account so you can maximize your reward stays, I have an SPG card and it totally works for me as most of my stays are SPG's.
I know you are looking for an existing user experience, which i am not but i hope this help.

Do you travel on business or are you looking for a personal card? What type of visa are you looking for cash back or travel?

If you travel on business I would recommend a CIti American Airlines credit card. I see a lot of people using this card not sure about miles per dollar, not sure if concierge service comes with this card. But annual fee is waived the first year.

Chase has the Marriott and Southwest. Both have annual fees waived the first year then they are $40 unless they went up since I looked.

Travel cards, Chase Sapphire gives 2X the points on dining and gas when redeeming you have to do everything on Chase's website.

Capitol1 venture card the first year is free and you get the 2 miles per dollar. The gold is no annual fee but version 1.25 miles per dollar.

Cash back cards, Chase has the freedom 1% back on everything then they have rotating categories if you sign up you get 5% on popular categories like clothing, department stores, movies , gas stations, groceries, drugstores and home improvement.

Bank of America has a nice card I believe you get 3% back on gas, 2% on grocery. Not sure I could have them backwards but Bank of America does have some nice cards.

If your interested in a Discover let us know and somebody will help you out. You mentioned Visa and those are my suggestions.
