Postby irvine801 » Wed Feb 01, 2012 8:21 pm

After recon, they offer me a zync with a 500$ limit and has to be auto debit every month. I went for it only cuz I want to establish a relationship with amex. They need me to fax my information and I am approved. What do you guys think?

I say take it the same thing was offered to my sister and she loves it. She was on my account but wanted to establish herself on her own. I highly recommend it!

Yeah that defeats the purpose of a "charge card". And I don't get the 10000 point sign on bonus. But I'm gonna take it just It is better then nothing... I'll have to pay it off 3 times a month! At least lol

Usually the counter-offer is a $500 hard limit with autopay or a $200 hard limit without. Typically this will last about 6 months and then it becomes a no pre-set spending limit (NPSL) account.

I don't quite get it either because even though Amex charge cards are NPSL; they are able to control what can be spent during a billing cycle. If someone with questionable credit applies, then Amex should just control their spending to $500 a month or just deny the application.

Yeah deville I agree but I guess its better then nothing. Thosewere the exact offers I was given and now I'm awaiting them to call me or a message saying I'm approved. They just need me bank info for the approval and I just faxed it in today so hey , 6 months wont be to bad . Do u think ill be able to remove the auto debit after? I hate auto debit but I agreed to it only because I really want an American express.

That is common with Zync, people have been set to NPSL after a few months
