I ask because of this issue in my recent denial letter, and some advice I got here after:
Your debt with other creditors relative to the available credit as indicated by Experian: This is what is known as debt-to-credit ratio.
Advice: "It sounds like the only revolving credit card you have is First Premier with a $250 limit. The AMEX Green does not have a limit. So, let's say you have a balance of $50 on your First Premier when it reports to the bureaus; that is 20% of your avaialble credit. If you have a $125 balance one month, that is 50% of your available credit. You really should not be at more than 30% of your available credit line. An easy fix for this is to add another Visa or MasterCard that will give you a higher credit line and keep balances low."
So I'd like to research some good visa and/or mastercards so I can resolve that issue.
