Postby shadowman024 » Fri Oct 14, 2011 6:29 pm

What you see is an Authorization hold, they simply assume you’re going to pump as much as 95 dollars and secure that amount on your card. The exact amount will post with-in 1—5 days but in the future if you want to avoid this, simply pump and then pay or pay a specific amount before you pump.

shadowman can you explain something to me. how in the world does your premium zync card have a 250.00 limit? are you sure your looking at the correct statement?

premium cards usually don't have a limit. they have annual fees, you pay your bill in full. yes you can buy a house or a car if the dealership and real estate agent accepts the card. if it's a reasonable price obviously. you're not going to be allowed to buy a 3 million dollar home, but if you want to buy a 200,000 dollar home and American Express knows you have the money then you can do this.

even though you can't charge in the millions 250 doesn't sound right. I thought your zync is no preset spending limit?

I know

money card i just got it activated it today that's what it says 250 limit. I got approved for a blue cash everyday with a 1k limit. I don't know my credit history is not the greatest but i wasn't offered the auto pay option. Hopefully after 6 months the limit will be lifted.

The Zync card is somehow different, it is technically a charge card but unlike the Green, Gold, or Platinum card, it allows you to carry a balance if you decide not to pay in full and because it was designed to target people with good credit or no credit (Bad or Fair credit will be denied), comes with a low annual fee and a set credit limit. This credit limit can range from 250 to you name it, while the least i have seen is 500 that is not to say 250 is a mistake. What i suggest you do is this:
1. Call American Express and ask them for the date the account was established.
2. Sixty one days after that you can apply for a credit limit increase online
3. You will ask for 1000, they might approve you for less.
4. You can repeat this every 61 days
Unfortunately i don't believe the zync card qualifies for upgrades but they might target you with a different card after you establish a good spending and payment pattern.
