Thanks Guru, I'm just paranoid about getting declined and thus hurting my score. During the whole mortgage application all the reps I spoke to at the bank said my credit was excellent, but, there's so many horror stores about this stuff.

Will probably apply for the card today unless I talk myself out of it.

thanks!
Cards:
PNC Everyday Rewards Visa ($12.5K - 2006)
Macy's store charge ($700 - 2009)
Amex Blue Cash Preferred ($10K - 2011)
Chase Sapphire Preferred Visa ($5K - Jan 2013)

Good Luck with the app, yes if anything I think your AAOA will hurt you rather than anything else, no baddies? (co's or late's ) I assume? I`m also on planning on App'ing for this card sometime in August or September.

just a quick question, i received my blue cash preferred card in the mail today but my APR is 19.24% with 2900 CL. My Fico was 750 when they ran it. Is it possible i can get it lower? i am going to keep a balance.

Nooooooooooooooooo!
A rewards card with an annual fee is the worst card to keep a balance on. Any rewards would be quickly negated by the interest on the balance. Yes it does have a 0% introductory rate for 6-12 months but you would be way better off keeping the balance on (or transferring it to) a card with a lower rate. AmEx's credit cards' lowest rate is 17.24% so use one of the many websites available to find a card with a lower rate.

if they do lower the APR it's not going to be that big of a difference (it think the best APR i've seen is 17.24%). .... if i remember correctly the APR comes in 3 varieties: 17.24, 19.24, and 21.24%....

I have another question before I apply. Like I stated, I just bought and moved into a new house, but I still own the other home while it's on the market. When I apply, what address should I list? I did update my bank & post office with my new info, but I have a Macy's card that hasn't been updated yet and a few other accounts like my 401(k), Merrill Lynch, etc.
Cards:
PNC Everyday Rewards Visa ($12.5K - 2006)
Macy's store charge ($700 - 2009)
Amex Blue Cash Preferred ($10K - 2011)
Chase Sapphire Preferred Visa ($5K - Jan 2013)

Cool thing that I noticed as a ZYNC cardmember: Applied for proffered blue cash, denied, BUT haven't been with them for 13 months first of all the cool part was no hard inquiry... Maybe a AMEX member benefit? Watched the report like a hawk for a week for the HI and it never came, so I chalked it up to in-house credit check I guess no clue to be honest.

It specifically stated in the denial: Not enough history with AMEX to make a decision, err something to that effect. I am about to turn 13 months quickly so I am going to wait a little extra before I re-apply. I seriously doubt when I am approved I will break $2500 limit because from what I have heard their revolving lines are pretty tough to not only land, but to keep in certain cases.
