Global Dining Collection

Postby corys401 » Sat Apr 29, 2017 11:33 am

Anyone have any experience with the Global dining collection through Platinum Concierge?

They were able to secure me a reservation at an upscale Mexican restuarant for Cinco De Mayo. It did not look like the restaurant had any offerings to the public through their normal reservations.

The Concierge also said there was a "special member experience" which could be a complimentary round of drinks or meeting the chef.

I haven't. Most of my splurging is on home cooking, and when I eat out it's not often at a place where reservations are hard to get.

That said, if I had trouble getting a reservation I would absolutely check to see what Amex could do to help.

So I was able to get a table through the dining program... but the restaurant never mentioned anything of an "AmEx membership experience".

Maybe mention something to Amex? I'm not sure if participating restaurants are required to offer something.

Though for 5/5, I'm not sure how much time any Mexican place would have for special experiences. Maybe those perks are just for off-peak days.
