Can't say for sure if customer is at India. I did spoke with an AMEX CSR back in my Gold Card days. The CSR is definitely a Hindi speaker. I initiated the call in the evening PST. But since the US is a melting pot, I can't be sure if the CSR is located here in the US or at India.

I placed another call but this time during the day PST. And the CSR definitely has American English accent.

Discover isn't a great card reward-wise, but if you want a guaranteed US voice at the other end of the line, Discover's the one.

My neighbor happens to work for Amex Rewards as CSR and told me most people are based in the US even if they have an accent, but if you happen to contact the travel department with a card that's not platinum or centurion you'll be routed to India or the Phillipines...

Those people in India make a month what an average American makes a day... Having such a low life quality is not an excuse to be rude, but it has something to do with the service they provide
Amex: Business Platinum (09/12) BCP $10,500 (03/13)
Visa: Capital One Journey $750 (04/11) Chase Freedom $1,800 (04/12)
MasterCard Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select $8,500 (05/13)
Discover: Discover It $2500 (07/11)
Store Cards: Amazon $3900 (12/11) Macy's $500 (04/11) Kohl's $500 (05/12) Victoria's Secret $750 (11/12)

I actually think I've talked to account mgrs from London and china. But like what popilopi had to say they may just have had an accent.
