Old expired Amex Centurion black cards

Postby allban123 » Fri Nov 12, 2010 11:19 pm

Hi!

I hope this is the right place to post this. I've been looking around for an expired American Express Centurion Black card for a vast amount of time. Unfortunately eBay takes them down, so I wonder if the expired cards are allowed? I'd appreciate it a lot-.

Sincerely

I believe part of the membership agreement is that old/expired cards must be returned to American Express if requested. Not to mention the type of people that have one aren't going to bother with the hassle to sell their Amex black card on Ebay just get a couple hundred bucks even if it was allowed.

Current Cards:
American Express: Blue Cash, Simply Cash Bank of America: WorldPoints Platinum Plus Chase: Amazon, British Airways, Cash Plus Rewards, Freedom, Ink Cash Citi: Thank You Premier, Dividend Platinum Select Discover: More
Primary Everyday Card: American Express Blue Cash
Primary Travel Card: Chase Sapphire Preferred

It would be interesting to know if there is actually a term in their agreement for this. They ask you to destroy old or expired cards or provide an envelope to return it, but they do you require you to return it under some penalty or something. They also convinced eBay to remove any card that hasn't been expired for more then 10 years (why 10 years?), but somehow they don't remove fake replica cards being sold on eBay all the time. VERY interesting topic.
