From the best of my knowledge American Express has never offered them.

About the closest you could come to an American Express secured card would be one of their prepaid gift cards and the fees on those aren't cheap. Like alsteig said, why do you want one? It sounds like you should be more focused on building up your credit right now.

Current Cards:
American Express: Blue Cash, Simply Cash Bank of America: WorldPoints Platinum Plus Chase: Amazon, British Airways, Cash Plus Rewards, Freedom, Ink Cash Citi: Thank You Premier, Dividend Platinum Select Discover: More
Primary Everyday Card: American Express Blue Cash
Primary Travel Card: Chase Sapphire Preferred
