Centurion and Delta lounges, which I personally find more useful than Priority Pass.
SPG/Marriott and Hilton elite status (good enough for potential complimentary room upgrades)
Fine Hotels and Resorts (special deals at some premium hotels)

Amex is pushin hard for me to apply for the Plat, through my AMEX online portal and email. I'm so tempted, but I'd like clarification about your Marriott comment. I'm Silver elite through my Chase Marriott, does the Plat upgrade you to another status? If so that plus the lounges would be more than enough to convince me to get it.

TIA!

With the recent acquisition of marriott, would that mean golf for them too?

I believe Marriott, Ritz and SPG are all cross-honoring status until everything is combined. So whatever program you have the highest stays in, I believe you can get in all three.

1. Get Amex Platinum.
2. On the Amex Platinum benefits page, there's a little box you can click and request SPG Gold status.
3. Wait for an email from Starwood confirming your Gold status (it might take 24 hours).
4. Go to the Marriott website and link your SPG account to your Marriott one and you'll get Marriott Gold.
Warranties and sketchy merchants: Schwab Platinum
Price rewind: Costco
Travel insurance: Prestige, CSP
Perks: IHG, Hyatt
Rewards/Offers: Discover, Freedom, ED, BCE
Taxes/Misc: SPG

Limited value, might close: Arrival

Might add: First Tech, proper business card

Yes, I can confirm that once you are SPG Gold, you can call Marriott and have them match it. Marriott Gold = free breakfast, I'll take it!
