Tempted by a "spend $500+ on a prepaid hotel at Amex Travel, get 7500 bonus MRs" offer on my ED card, I explored abandoning an existing reservation booked directly with Best Western so I could re-book it with Amex Travel.
The Amex Travel website, however, said the property was "not available on the dates selected", even though the Best Western website and Hotels.com both still show availability. I definitely entered the nights, number of rooms, and number of people correctly on all three.
Has anyone else encountered this sort of "artificial unavailability" on Amex Travel?
