That sounds like a good idea. I'll give it a try!! Thx

So I called and explained the situation about the derog. They say I will get a response within 2-3 business days.

It seems that AMEX did not run another credit check and denied the recon based on my old credit report. What a shame! Attempt number 2 will happen sometime next year.

They might have done a soft pull. I'm not sure if that would show the changes though. Shame.

You'll get there eventually. I think the waiting period is 90 days. But someone should confirm/correct that.

Is that right? I had no idea...

My TU credit score recently jumped 39points since last month putting me around 730 ( I didn't even know that could happen, my guess is it's thanks to that derog that's been deleted off my CR b/c I've never seen it take such a leap forward). My overall CR should be plenty healthy by Jan-Feb 2016.

Just an FYI in the letter that I just received it says "Please wait at least 30 days before submitting a new application"!

Cheers

I had been an AU on a $5000 limit Cap One Venture One for a few years, but my Zync charge card was my first card on my own.
American Express Zync ~ NPSL
American Express Everyday ~ $2000
Bank of America Travel Rewards ~ $1500
Chase Freedom ~ $2500
AU Capital One Venture One ~ $5000

Amex was my first charge/credit card so I had no credit at all!

So in that regard, I guess I did have an excellent credit history. Unblemished.

Thanks! I've been really busy and unfortunately the luxury of reading and replying on forumns is one of the first activities to get cut!
