I had plenty of pet food from a bulk purchase on a previous offer, so I didn't really want to buy any more and I let the offer deadline sneak up on me. I just got a $10 gift card online probably a day or two before the deadline, thinking if it didn't work I wouldn't be out too much. The transaction didn't even post until well over a week later when the statement cut, so I figured it wouldn't happen. About a week after that the offer did come through, though. The offers come with so much language in the terms to protect themselves, I wouldn't have blamed Amex if I didn't get it - but I was really happy with them! I think I technically shouldn't have gotten it, so I guess it's possible it may be revoked later? I'll see.

Amex offers generally cover any merchandise purchased in-store, unless the transaction is processed differently like the Sam's Club offer (the store uses a different merchant code for new memberships). I bought a Walmart gift card on a Walmart.com offer and still received the cash back (and it will billed like any other Walmart.com transaction). I still read the lengthy terms, and they excluded business gift cards (which are likely billed differently). I received the credit shortly after the charge went through. You shouldn't have any trouble with the credit.

I have a $20 off $95 or more on Warby Parker that did NOT go through. I called up about two weeks ago B straightened it out. The lady was all over me with apologies and everything else. Still didn't post 3 days later like she said. Waited a few more days. Called back on Christmas night I believe. Apologized again. Said I will have it in 3 business days and it is still no where in sight... Pretty agitating to have to call three times for this, but it looks like that's what will be happening...

The offer end date was something like 12/10, and I ordered the GC online on 12/9 I think. I said I didn't think I technically should have gotten it because they always include language to the effect of "if you buy something before the deadline but we don't get the info until after the deadline, you may not get it." It was held in pending transactions for the longest time - presumably because it was a purchase online - then it disappeared completely for a few days, including the last day of the cycle. When the statement cut it finally posted, but showed the transaction date was 12/20 and no credit was on the statement. I got the credit a few days later. I've no reason to think it will be revoked, but I think they're covered if they decide to do it.

As I said at that point I was just testing it to see if the offer would work. I was pleasantly surprised that it did and that Amex came through on that one. Most offer credits come through as soon as the corresponding transaction posts...it just took this one a long time.

Has anyone else noticed a lack of any new offers lately?

After the $100 airfare credit, which I value at $85 economically:

BCE: +$72
PRG: -$2
EDP: -$26
Keeping indefinitely: IHG, SchwabPlat, CSP, Discover, Freedom, ED, BCE, Hyatt
May close or PC: Prestige, Arrival, BrooksBros
AA Platinum converting into Costco

Might add: Proper business card, CSR, Ritz, Delta Gold, First Tech
Letting new accounts cool off since May

We will likely see more by tomorrow and through the rest of the week. All of the old offers usually expire first before new ones appear.

There's a new one for the first time in a while. Evelyn & Arthur (women's clothing).

Hopefully others will follow shortly.

There are a few new offers now, but not as useful as the ones during the holidays. But to be honest, I'm not really spending much right now anyway.

Not seeing any exciting offers at the moment here. One is kinda cool, $25 off a hotel booking of over $100, ostensibly any hotel. Good deal, but only if I was booking a hotel anyway.

I wish I had the hotel booking offer. I will be staying for a couple of days in Vegas for valentines (but the weekend AFTER valentines), and it's paid for, but I'm sure the resort fee and food will be $100.
