I'm still kind of astounded at how minimal the savings are. I get some gas at Mobil, but the prospect of buying 200 gallons on gas - using their extra card at every transaction, just to save $2 - is really unappealing.

Sure, I carry membership/loyalty/store credit cards for other places, but they save me significantly more.

It has the feel of a program/alliance for which Amex wanted many more partners, but they decided/were contractually obligated to launch, anyway.
Warranties and sketchy merchants: Schwab Platinum
Price rewind: Costco
Travel insurance: Prestige, CSP
Perks: IHG, Hyatt
Rewards/Offers: Discover, Freedom, ED, BCE
Taxes/Misc: SPG

Limited value, might close: Arrival

Might add: First Tech, proper business card

I signed up for a reward card Plenti after being offered in the Macy's store the other day, was first I had heard of it. But today I have learned about the Amex actual Plenti credit card.. so far as I know I am going to stick with the reward one. I just signed up at Amex to link the card to my EDP,and had already liked Macy's Amex and store cards. I was also told by sales person that this is going to replace the Macy's star reward program. If it wasn't for you all in these forums I'd be even dumber than I am...lol Thanks guys for all the info I keep getting on here and other forums....

If they didn't get you for that, it would be for selectively freezing bureaus to force them to pull your best one.

Or just for not babbling on about gardening enough. And your "Congrats +1" post count is way down too. Unacceptable. You should have at LEAST 5 to 10 thousand by now. Shame on you. And don't give me that line it's too much work - you could make a macro.

LOL.

I selectively froze (past tense because all are frozen now) bureaus to keep my EX report from getting pulled too much. I have inquiry control down on EQ/TU because a) no one ever pulls EQ for me, b) TU is easily manipulated into hiding your tracks.

Do you need a monitoring service that pulls TU daily for that?

Yeah, it's really confusing idea- to have a reward card, and to have a credit card.
I've received my Plenti rewards card as a Rite Aid customer, and now I see there also is a credit card with the same name.

Very confusing to me.

Uh, I'm Gen Y (Millenials - Born after 1980) and it has no flipping appeal to me what so ever. Gen Zers I would buy possibly.

Definitely Fugly

Notice I said "attempt". Sort of like Garo Yepremian's attempted pass in Super Bowl VII(he actually just died, met him once... great guy). I didn't say they were successful. But it was definitely marketed at younger people and shows how much of an epic fail Amex is lately.

I just got this card and I'm not sure how to redeem the points. I've already used the plenti reward card at Mobil. Do the points transfer over to my main account? There's really nowhere on my Amex account or my plenti account to say

You're not going to find a lot of people here that have that card. it doesn't really fit the demographic of this site. Your best bet would be to check on MyFico, or just ask Amex. Sometimes it can take a few billing cycles to register points.
Chase Freedom $9k~~Chase Sapphire Preferred $6.5k~~Amex Blue Cash Preferred $12.4k~~Citi Double Cash $4.7k
