I think that's another way Amex cutting back on perks will hurt them.
The card has to have some attraction to make it worth applying for. I'm just not personally seeing it with this card. If I was a 10 year old kid I might think the design was cool though.
+1. Without backdating nothing Amex has appeals to me(unless they bring back the unicorn!) The card doesn't look like a credit card Centurion bank would issue. Looks like an Amex gift card or some sort of pre-paid card. American Express has definitely jumped the shark it seems... pretty soon, they might be begging Maddawg to come back. Ok, probably not, but Amex's latest new offerings are boring and lackluster. Maybe in addition to sharing the same founders as Wells Fargo, they are sharing the same new product development people as WF.
Someone on MyFICO got approved for it....at 24.99% APR.
