I am still waiting on all of the cards to arrive. Inclement weather has postponed delivery on all of them until at least Thursday. The anticipation is literally killing me. But how does Small Business Saturday balance out the annual fee at all? Is there a discount or extra points?

AmEx ED: $4500 (02/15)
AmEx PRG: NPSL (02/15)
AmEx SPG: $2000 (06/15)
Capital One QS: $3250 (02/13)
Marriott: $5000 (01/16)
Ritz Carlton: $13,500 (09/15)
TCL: $34,750 (Some not shown above)

It's $10 per transaction on up to three transactions per card. Multiple cards are okay. You pay the regular price and earn rewards on the regular price, then get credits posting to your Amex accounts $10 at a time.

Using two cards, I got $83 of chocolate and bagels for $23.

You could get those exact same benefits from AMEX Green. Roadside Assist and Small Business Saturday should be able to wipe away the $95 A/F. That's the way I look at it.

Not exactly the same. Amex used to have three tiers of Roadside Assistance. Now I think they have two. They nerfed the Green, Gold, and most other cards. Green used to have the middle tier, and Gold the top. They made the cuts a few months ago.

PRG, Platinum, and some high-AF co-branded cards survived and kept the top-tier service, which is probably comparable to AAA. What the lower-tier cards have is, I think, pretty useless in that regard. That's part of why I think Green and regular Gold are a joke.

The upper tier will help you get a tow truck and will pay for basic towing and other services. The lower tier will just have a tow truck come and coordinate basic services, but you have to pay for all services.

The only free thing in the lower tier is your call to Amex.
