Platinum about to close first billing cycle, where's the AF?

Postby Jarrodpd » Wed Jan 21, 2015 2:43 pm

The first billing cycle on my Platinum is set to close today, the thing is I have yet to be charged for the $450 AF. I have been trying to find an answer but haven't really came up with much. Most things I have read said the card would either have the fee on it by the time you received it, or within a few days after that.

What ended up coming out of this? I was told by the CSR that the annual fee will be charged on the anniversary of opening the account. As of now, I'm just waiting on the card to show up in the mail.

My experience is the AF always posts on the last day of the cycle in which it will be billed.

I noticed in your signature a couple USAA cards. Do you happen to be active military?

If so, you could request Amex waive the A/F's on your cards.

Im not in the military, it was passed down from my dad. The AF posted either the day before the cycle closing or they added it on when it closed.
