I wonder what American Express thoughts are on credit limit as that is about my yearly income as I am a College student. Any thought on how high it could go? I am still in my 15 months interest free but hardly charge more and several hundred dollars a month on the card but I have several other cards so it should help with my credit utilization.

I am having so much fun on this forum as a newbie. Realized the 61d rule was 61 days, originally thought it was 6 mo for some reason. Got my amex ED card in jan w 9500 limit and just requested 3x and got $28500!
Exciting altho i dont need that much credit since i try to keep my spending to a minimum since i had credit card trouble during my college yrs. thanks for the nuggets of information

my impression is that the credit utilization ratio is not by card but for all cards in general so if u had wanted to go near the max, i dont think it would hurt altho i could be wrong...

I applied for the Amex BCP on March 20th and was approved for $5k. I received and activated it on March 27th. Today I applied for the 3X CLI and was approved, so now my CLI is $15k. I don't think you need to wait the 61 days anymore now.

Could one assume that after the 3x CLI (which I did in January, the true 61 days after opening) you can do the next one before 6 more months? That would be awesome!
