New member to the forum! The 61 day CLI worked for me on my Everyday card (read about it on another forum). I didn't need it but I'm glad I have it!! My initial amount was $2k, now I'm $6k, helped my utilization BIG TIME.

In 6 months I'll try for $18k, guess at this point I have nothing to lose.

I tried it last night on American Express (received in October so after 61 days) but I did the 3X credit limit. It worked for me. I was started out with $7,500 and now it is $22,500. I wonder what American Express thoughts are on credit limit as that is about my yearly income as I am a College student. Any thought on how high it could go? I am still in my 15 months interest free but hardly charge more and several hundred dollars a month on the card but I have several other cards so it should help with my credit utilization.
American Express $22,500
Capital One $6500
Chase $2500
CU Card $1000
Discover$2550

Nope. YMMV. See:

I recently did my annual CLI spree. It bumped my AmEx BCE to a CL of $30K and my reported income is $41K. I will probably skip AmEx in next year's spree as I don't want the trouble of income verify/FR.
Citi Forward ($10.1K), AmEx Blue Cash Everyday ($30K), Chase Freedom ($12.4K), Discover it ($5.5K), Barclaycard Arrival ($12.5K), L.L. Bean Visa ($5K). FICO 806 (TU), 812 (EQ), 806 (EX).

Got approved for a BCE Amex yesterday, 7,500 CL. Fair credit with less than 2 years credit history. Have two credit cards, citi and hsbc. I pay on time. only carried balance now. Question I want to ask would it be advisable to ask for 3X CLI after 60 days?

There really isn't any reason not to. It's a soft pull and if they don't want to give you the full 3X they will counter with what they are willing to give you.

Someone please educate me on the 61 day CLI x 3 increase. I have 7,000 initial CL.

Since 7,000 x 3 is 21,000...

Do I ask for 21,000? Isn't that a bit outrageous?

Ask for whatever you want. If you over-ask they will just give you the highest credit limit offer you are justified having based on your use history, income, etc

My credit limit is currently 7,000 x 3 = $21,000

So requesting 21,000 would be a soft-pull?

Yes it would be a soft pull. There are three options that could happen: They approve your request, they deny your request overall, or they deny you but provide you with a counteroffer.

Believe me it felt a bit weird now that my Delta Gold has a $20,000 limit. I could have gone higher but I'm content with what I have.
Wells Fargo Platinum 2.100 (5/2011-cld 7/12/14)
AmEx Platinum (6/12)
Barclays Apple (6/12)
AMEX Gold Delta (5/13)

My credit score
