Website CLI still down?

Postby Yeru » Tue Dec 16, 2014 9:54 am

Ive been trying to do a CLI for weeks but the website still has the message:

"
We're Sorry...
We are currently upgrading our site to improve American Express Online Services. During this time you may experience intermittent system delays. "

Its been like this for weeks.... Does anybody know how long this is supposed to last?

Call AMEX. Their site upgrade was completed some time ago, not aware of any portions of the site that are experiencing issues.
Retired, and in the process of retiring cards!
EQ = 846 EX=828 TU = 836 as of 02/2016

I was still getting the error again today so I contacted Amex regarding the CLI. Anyways it was surprisingly a very quick process! The credit line on my Amex Everyday was $9,000 until today. Now my card has a new credit line of $21,000 :cool:

I would assume he did the well known AMEX CLI (usually 61st day 3X credit line etc etc). If you show usage, pay on time and have an overall clean credit bureau it is not unheard of to have up to a $25K AMEX revolver.

Quite a lot higher than that, if your income supports it, despite the myfico "oh god, I'll get FR'd" whinging about the magical 25K limit.

Which isn't relevant. They might perform an income verification. Income verification and FR are not the same thing.
