Approved for Blue Cash Everyday!

Postby TX_Man » Fri Dec 12, 2014 8:18 pm

I applied for an American Express card back in May and was denied due to short credit history. It was a let down, however only having a Gap store credit card (closed for awhile) and two Capital One cards I figured my chances with Amex were low.

However later in the year I starting receiving invitations for Amex cards; one for the Premier Rewards Gold card and one for the Blue Cash Everyday Card. Being only half a year after my denial I decided to give it another go and got approved!

I'm still going to keep my Capital One cards open to build a longer credit history, however I am stoked!

$200 back intro bonus and 15 months of 0% APR. I am thrilled! So thrilled I made an account to brag about it (as a short time lurker back in May)

That's great to hear. Do you know what your credit limit is? You can potentially get a 3x CLI two months after you opened the account.

The CL is 4k

I was definitely surprised that I went from being denied by Amex (it was the Amex Everday card I applied for back in May) to getting invitations and subsequent acceptance in only half a year.

@TX_Man

How did you get $200 back intro bonus? I only got $50 for the AMEX BLUE Cash if I use $1000 in the first three months.

The offer I got was a mail offer. Online it said $50 + Amazon Prime for 1 year and the mail offer was $200 which had a code associated with it
