Amex Small Business Saturday 2014

Postby Gamma » Sun Nov 16, 2014 11:04 am

It's that time of year for the promotion Amex offers its card members. Amex Small Business Saturday will be November 29, 2014 where card members get $10 statement credit when you spend $10+ each transaction up to 3x per registered card for a total of $30 statement credit. You can register here

https://www.americanexpress.com/us/small-business/shop-small/

Enrollment is limited so I'd do this asap! You can register with ANY card that is processed by Amex, not just cards issued by Amex, such as Penfed Amex defender, Fidelity Amex, Bluebird, Amex Serve, etc. More info is in link provided and qualifying business for this offer are business shown in the map in the link provided.

Thanks for letting us know Gamma. There is no way I would have known about this without your post. I registered asap, as you suggested, seeing as how there is no fee charged to the cardholder for doing so.

What isn't clear to me from reading the Terms and Conditions is that if I can only find one local small business who has anything I'd like to buy, can I make three separate transaction with the SAME merchant, provided that each of the transactions exceeds $10.00?
Current Cards:
AmEx Platinum Charge: NPSL, $450 AF
AmEx Reserve Credit: $30K limit, $450 AF
Chase Slate Visa Credit: $32K limit, No AF
Future Strategy:
Near Term: Need a good MasterCard for places that won't accept AmEx or Visa
Long Term: Will downsize out of one or both current AmEx cards to reduce AFs

Registered! Any idea how many people can sign up? All I'm seeing anywhere is just "registration is limited."

Yes. Someone in Slickdeals contacted Amex asking that same question and posted the chat results online. This is what I plan on doing using all my Amex cards in the same merchant.

No idea. Each year they always posted that but never given an exact amount on the maximum number of people that can register.

Thanks, already registered my BCE. The grocery store near my home is shown on the map, so I should be able to take advantage of both 3x Reward Dollars and the statement credit.

I will see if I would register my Serve card also.

Any idea about if an AMEX card not issued by American Express can be registered? i.e. is FIA Amex and others are eligible? The terms simply describes this:
An "Eligible Card" is an American Express Card eligible for an individual Offer, as specified in the Offer Terms for such Offer. Use of your Eligible Card is subject to the agreement governing the Eligible Card account (the "Cardmember Agreement").
Citi Forward Visa $5000 10/2012 | American Express Blue Cash Everyday $8000 2/2014 | Discover it $7000 5/2014
Chase Freedom Visa Signature $7000 6/2014 | Citi ThankYou Premier Visa Signature $5000 1/2015
All EMV.
