AMEX Blue Cash & EveryDay cards sign up bonus now with Amazon Prime

Postby PlyrStar93 » Tue Oct 28, 2014 8:19 pm

Just FYI, the current sign up bonuses for these cards are:
Blue Cash Everyday: $50 + 1 yr Amazon Prime
Blue Cash Preferred: $100 + 1 yr Amazon Prime
EveryDay: 10k MR points + 1 yr Amazon Prime
EveryDay Preferred: 15k MR points + 1 yr Amazon Prime

These offers seems to become available not too long ago, though BCE and BCP already had these in the past.

What is noteworthy, the EveryDay and EveryDay Preferred bonuses are Amazon Prime in addition to the normal points, i.e. ED (10k pts+Prime vs 10k pts) and EDP (15k pts+Prime vs 15k pts), compared to BCE ($50+Prime vs $100) or BCP ($100+Prime vs $150).

EDIT: Just noticed this thread has updated, and EveryDay cards here. Seems like no need to make this thread...
Citi Forward Visa $5000 10/2012 | American Express Blue Cash Everyday $8000 2/2014 | Discover it $7000 5/2014
Chase Freedom Visa Signature $7000 6/2014 | Citi ThankYou Premier Visa Signature $5000 1/2015
All EMV.

Well crap. I applied just a few days before they sweetened the introductory bonus. I contacted Amex to see if there was any way I could retroactively get the year of Amazon Prime since I was so close, but no dice.

Honestly I'm not surprised. AmEx is not existing customer friendly, truth be told. I have found Discover to be way more flexible with what they are willing to do for customers than AmEx. Honestly, it won't surprise me if Discover breaks the tie in the near future and comes out ahead of AmEx in the cust. sat. thingy from JD Powers. I honestly dread when I need to call AmEx (which is rare, fortunately). Discover doesn't bother me since I know they'll be in the Estados Unidos and speaking Inglés, and will treat me right and will be as accommodating as possible. I still feel Discover > AmEx.
