Don't get the Centurion card - terrible just terrible

Postby MemberSince99 » Sat Sep 27, 2014 7:48 am

So given that I don't have triple digit inquiries yet I decided to apply for the Centurion. Amex totally dissed me and said that I don't qualify for one, but if I do they'll be sure to give me a shout.

What the hell kind of customer service is that Amex? I've dropped at least a few thousand on your cards this year, and maybe 20 bucks in luxury items, and you can't give me a black card? Barclays will for only 500 bucks a year and then everyone will know just how special I am.

Don't get Amex go with Barclays or Chase Palladium!!!!!!!!

I think that First Premier Rewards Gold Amex card otter talked about would be a great fit for your spending needs. It has an APR of 36%, 300 dollar annual fee, and comes with everything that you'd expect from a first Premier card except your friends will be dazzled by the fact your card will have a nice Amex logo on the front and 0.5% cashback on all purchases.. Never stop drapping. ;)

Or the Credit One Amex, they have a card that is black, just like the Centurion. More importantly you ALWAYS get 1% on gas, so when you refill you car, bike or whatever needs gas that will be a great fit. Also apart from the $75 prestigious annual fee, you get no grace period on purchases, making it more prestigious as you ALWAYS drop money to them. :D
