AMEX fraud with 2checkout

Postby prabirsinha789 » Thu Sep 11, 2014 2:12 am

I have a case where I got a cashback of 2500$ from a client. According to the client his credit card has been cancelled and that's why it got chargeback and he is also not willing to repay the amount. The client told me to challenge the chargeback with the bank but I am not the merchant company and 2checkout is saying they cannot raise a dispute as they are just a payment processor company.

I am an International seller from India.

So my question is that how to I challenge a charge from client to the AMEX guys.

The client lives in Canada.

Let me know.

You need more help than we can offer. We are guys who are into getting credit cards, not international business attorneys. We can't begin to help with that. Good luck.

Well, some of us are lawyers that occasionally deal with international business transactions.

You do need some help - either from a lawyer or from a forum oriented toward small business. Try the Amex OPEN forums.

So, they bought something from you, then filed a chargeback for $2,500 and now are claiming the card is cancelled?

It sounds to me like they scammed you on purpose and 2checkout is avoiding the issue. You may be well out of $2,500 because it's just going to be your word against his and he already got his money back.

Yes provided some online services against the payment and after one month we got charge back notice from 2checkout.

So whats the best thing to go please suggest.
