Charge card for the USA

Postby geoffcotter@y7mail.com » Fri Sep 05, 2014 11:55 pm

I am trying to find a charge card that I can use in the USA, the problem is I live in Australia, I have spoken with my Centurion concierge but they will not give one as I live in Australia.

I send a lot of time in the USA and I also buy lots of things online: IE Gucci and other designer stores will except my credit card from Australia, it is OK when you are over there.

Can anyone help me?

If you are not an American citizen and do not have a US tax ID number you will not be able to open a credit/charge card issued in the US. Just like I cannot obtain an Australian credit card. If you have an Australian issued Amex you should be able to use that in the US without incident.

I don't know if Aussies are eligible, but look into the US Dollar International Currency Card. https://www.americanexpress.com/icc/eurodollar/

When you use your Australia issued card in USA, what happened?
If I understand correctly, your card gets declined when attempting to use at USA online stores.
Citi Forward Visa $5000 10/2012 | American Express Blue Cash Everyday $8000 2/2014 | Discover it $7000 5/2014
Chase Freedom Visa Signature $7000 6/2014 | Citi ThankYou Premier Visa Signature $5000 1/2015

You can sign up for a Diners Club charge card: They have international shipping options that let you purchase things and send them to a US address which forwards to your home address. They also have ways of letting you make a purchase with US funds on websites that don't accept international credit cards.

I have tried the Gucci store online, Prada, & Versace, I do have a myus account but because the is issued in Australia they won't except.

I have had to order a pair of boots for my wife, but they have got to be made for here, yet they have them in the USA.

It makes no sense.

It would not accept it due to it not being a US Issued card.

I have no idea if this service works, but it appears to be what you're looking for:
