@fishmartin - only way to know is by applying for it. I was approved for the BCE without a problem while SEARS denied me so who knows try it
Yep. Card companies will always throw you for a loop when you apply. I applied for a Freedom about 6 months ago and was denied. I tried again and was denied yet again. I said "screw this" and tried for the AmEx BCE and was instantly approved for $8,000. I then read about the AmEx Everyday and liked the rewards, so I applied for that too. I got the 7-10 message, which people over at myfico say it means you got denied, but I then got an email two days later saying I was approved, and I had an even higher credit limit than my first AmEx. Didn't make much sense to me, but I don't care, I have two great cards with great limits now.
You'll only know if you apply, so go for it!
