I was wondering how old you have to be to be added as an authorized user on an American Express. Thanks

There's nothing in the T & C about a minimum age. It simply states that the primary card holder is responsible for all charges by all users. Anecdotally, I've read that, for charge cards it's 16, for credit cards, it's 18. I added my daughter at age 17; that was 4 years ago, so things may have changed since then.

Best way to find out for sure? Call them.
Retired, and in the process of retiring cards!

There is, indeed, a minimum age.

From the Amex site, when I click on "add a user":

Complete the fields below to add an Additional Card Member to your account. All Additional Card Members must be 15 years of age or older and must never have had a defaulted account with American Express.
