Got Green Card in the mail today!

Postby nonunderling » Tue Jul 01, 2014 12:39 pm

Hi all,

I have been checking out these boards for a few weeks now and decided to join up. I have been steadily working on improving my credit and have wanted an AMEX for quite a while so I consider this to be a success.

I originally applied for the AMEX Everyday card and was denied. It turns out I'm glad I was because I now think the Blue Cash Preferred would be better for me as I spend a lot of money on groceries and I think Cash rewards will work better for me.

I'm hoping to get a BCP in the next six months or so. I'm curious, do you guys think the approval rates for Everyday Preferred and BCP are roughly equal?

Thanks!

Probably, but 6 months of good payment history on your Green Card should help. Congrats!
