MB Plat to Plat

Can you convert the MB Platinum to a regular Platinum card?

I got rid of my MB, the dealership pissed me off. :-)

I know you can go charge card to charge card. However, you may want to consider just taking another inquiry if you've never had the regular Platinum card before. I believe you'd still qualify for the 40,000 bonus :-)

If you just do a PC, then you wouldn't qualify for any signup offer.

Don't think so. Asked about PCing from the Ameriprise Platinum to the normal Platinum and they told me it's not possible to PC from different versions of the Platinum. The only way to change is to cancel and reapply. If you don't mind the inquiry I would do just that since you can still get the MR bonus since it's a 'different' card. If you can find a bonus offer on the Ameriprise version I would recommend it. AF is the same, benefits are the same, the card even looks the same, but you get a 5,000 MR bonus if you spend $20k a year on the card. That's the reason I didn't cancel it. I didn't even realize it until the CSR told me.

Actually turns out you can, if you call - don't try chat support. :-)
