Back Dating Question

Postby ncosky290 » Sat May 31, 2014 9:04 pm

How does the AMEX back dating work. Is it just internal for them and the date on the card or is it also reported as it was opened the first date your initial accounts were?

Thanks for the replies in advance!

When you apply for a second card or reapply for another card, it will report to the credit agencies to the original year that you applied and the month in which you are in. For example if you have been a member since 2005, and it's August, the card will report as being open since August 2005 automatically.
