Too bad, my college won't take credit card or charge card at all.
They insist on direct bank transfer, or check, or cash.

I can see that in the US you can actually pay a lot of different things with AmEx (college, cars, taxes ecc) Unfortunately I can't do that here in the UK.

My largest purchase was my 2012 Vespa GTV 300 on my Amex Platinum for approx. 9k.
It also paid my 5k Medical deductible when I wrecked the previously mentioned Vespa in 2013, LOL.

$72k charge to Covert Tuning - buddy added a twin turbo to his Lamborghini and let me put it on my Platinum card. I would have much rather had Chase UR or Starwood points vs Membership Rewards but my credit lines are not high enough on those cards.

That must have been one heckuva tuning. Did you get to drive it after the tuning?

Not yet - he actually just got the car back. It took about 18 months for them to take it apart and do their work. The $72k was just the final balance - not including the initial deposit.

something about putting a giant covert tuning sticker on the windshield seems...idk, ironic?

well, this is an odd question, but i'll go with it.

$127k @ Dell. and that's without tax or shipping and at a steep discount because i'm a reseller.

the purchase included 8 Poweredge R710 servers and overpriced licensing from Microsoft.

but this was on business amex, not my personal one.
Junk I use:
AmEx Platinum for Mercedes Benz from, 75k spending ability
AmEx Everyday 8.99% + Prime, 44k CL
Chase Ink Bold, 35k
Chase Freedom (Converted from WaMu VISA) from '07, 5.99% + Prime, 30k CL

Junk I don't use
BoA Susan G. Komen Cash Rewards (converted from World Points MC) from '07, 7.9% Fixed APR, 30k CL
Discover IT (Converted from Discover More) from '08, 5.74% + Prime, 20k CL
AmEx Clear from '07, 4.99% + Prime, 10k CL
All 3 credit scores are over 800.

Wow, that is one fine car. The engine looks like a turbine in a jet.
