This is how I get more than 5% on gas
What I do is use the Discover Open Road to buy gas gift cards at Marathon. Marathon will sell you $50 gas cards for $48. That alone is 4%. THen when I buy them with my Discover I get another 5% off so that works out to be 8.8% off on all gas at Marathon.
That means gas at $4.25 is actually only $3.88
